Many people have the idea of waiting for the Savior to reappear, not knowing that the Savior is waiting for us to change for the better so he may be given the permission to reappear. Imam Al-Mahdi (AJTF), himself is waiting for us and our responsibility is to pave the road for him in terms of bettering ourselves and our behavior.

The Holy Prophet (PBUHH) has said: "Whoever recites the first four verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, accompanied by the ‘ayatul kursi’ together with the last three verses of this Surah - and makes a habit of reciting these verses daily – his life, property and family will be protected and no evil shall come upon them. Satan will not come close to him and he will not be from those who forget Allah the Almighty.

Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq (PBUH) has said: “Reciting the Qur’an from the pages of the Qur’an (meaning to look at it and recite it - not from memory) brings mercy upon (lightens the punishment of) one’s mother and father, even if they are both disbelievers.”

Imam Hassan Al-Askari (PBUH) was once asked about the characteristics of a believer. To this he replied: "The Characteristics of a believer are five: 1) wear a ring on the right hand, 2) 51 rakkat prayers (17 mandatory and 34 recommended), 3) Pronouncing Bassmalah loudly, 4) Place of forehead of soil during prayer, 5) The Visitation of Imam Hussein during Arbaeen.
