Accommodated

These are young people who are looked after away from home, but were admitted to care under a legal arrangement on a voluntary basis. When young people are accommodated, their parents retain the primary parental responsibility, but the local authority still has responsibilities as corporate parent (DfEE and DoH, 2000: 9, 3.2).
