Wishing Others Well
3:2:58 2024-09-27 749

Greetings or wishing well are ways to express one's best wishes for someone else when they meet. Believers do this without fail, even when they are busy or have urgent business elsewhere, when they enter each other's houses or meet somewhere. The Qur'an commands believers to reply in a similar manner, or with even nicer wishes, when they are greeted and to say suitable words of greeting when they enter another person's house: When you are greeted with a greeting, return the greeting or improve on it. Allah takes account of everything. (Qur'an, 4:86) And when you enter houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and good. In this way Allah makes the Signs clear to you so that, hopefully, you will use your intellect. (Qur'an, 24:61)
