Focus on the strengths of others
8:9:50 2023-03-29 608

The best relationships are usually built on our awareness of each other's strengths. People in a strong relationship understand that no one is perfect, but at the same time they know that each person has their own unique traits and qualities that, when appreciated, allow feelings of love, compassion, and respect to flourish.

Problems within relationships often stem from the focus of one of the parties to the relationship, or both parties, on the other party's mistakes, weaknesses, and shortcomings. Not surprisingly, this leads to feelings of frustration and irritation and, at worst, to feelings of bitterness and hatred.

In order to enhance and improve the quality of your relationships and thus enjoy greater happiness, you need to find some time to sit down and think about those people who are very important in your life, and list and reflect on their strengths. What makes them great people? What do they offer to the relationship that no one else can provide? What makes them special, valid, and likable to you?
