Seven Tips for the New School Year
4:33:10 2024-09-15 2356

Between the joy of success from one stage to a new one, and between sadness and regret for not passing a stage; this is how students and their families welcome the new school year.

It is common for the first thing that takes up space in the parents' thinking is buying the necessary supplies for the school day, such as clothes and stationery, and preparing the appropriate transportation lines and the like, but there are important matters that parents and students must take into account; These are: -

First: Parents should prepare their children to receive the new stage weeks before the start of school, by explaining the curriculum vocabulary, and explaining some of the topics of those subjects as a way of motivating and encouraging them, and explaining the difficulties that they may face and how to overcome them.

Second: Parents should take the initiative - as school starts - to remove electronic gaming devices and other games and store them in places far from their children's reach; So that they are not busy playing and having fun instead of reading. And let the process of distancing and absence be gradual, little by little.

Third: When children start school, they are still subject to the daily routine in terms of food, sleep, and their habit of spending time playing and watching TV; they are often undisciplined and free of their own affairs; Therefore, sleeping and eating times must be organized, and study times, going to and from work must be coordinated.

Fourth: Cutting off external relations with friends except for study colleagues, as well as stopping travel and trips, especially at the beginning of the study period; because the student must feel psychological stability and adapt to the new situation, and after the period of stability in work, it is possible to include recreational trips at the end of the week and meeting and chatting with friends in his program.

Fifth: Continue to practice sports, and make it a fixed paragraph in the daily program, especially early in the morning. It is useful for sports to be swimming, running, and meditation.

Sixth: It is necessary to stay away from pressuring children so that they commit to attendance and reading in the first days of the new year. Rather, parents must charge their children with positive energy, and make them live in an atmosphere full of joy and optimism, and urge them through motivation and encouragement to sharpen their determination to study so that they succeed with excellence.

Seventh: Urging them to learn new skills through purposeful activities held by their schools, such as sports activities, scientific and intellectual competitions, and activating drawing, calligraphy, religious chanting, and other skills, or joining the student union and assuming leadership roles.
