Is it unfortunate that we only look at the glass half empty and not the half full?
If you are satisfied with what is possible and are satisfied with what is little and well-being, then you are a prince in this world.
Why do you worry about what others have made of cars, houses, etc. Is this your sadness? Then you will only have what Allah has apportioned for you.
Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) says: “Look at the one who is below you in ability, and do not look at the one who is above you in ability, for that is more convincing for you.”
A man complained to him: He asks that he is successful but is not satisfied, and his soul is urging him to get more of it.
He said: Teach me something that will benefit me - that is, get rid of greed and lack of contentment?
The Imam said to him: “If what is sufficient for you does enrich you, then the smallest thing in it will enrich you, and if what is sufficient for you does not enrich you, then everything in it will not enrich you.”
So, to get rid of grief, sadness, and anxiety, settle for what Allah has apportioned for you
Count Allah's blessings upon you instead of counting your troubles.
