Most parents consider the school a place where the child disappears for hours, after which he returns with homework, grades from the teachers, various requests, and grade books from time to time. Instead of asking your son ((How was school today?)) ask him debatable questions about his day at school. Ask him ((What was your favorite part of the day?)) or ((Who did you play with during recess today?)) Listen carefully to your son's answers. Pay attention to his emotional life and his feelings towards school.
Make him feel interested
Grades are not the most important part of education. Make sure your son knows that you care about his school work, his success, and his struggle. Avoid criticism and judgment and focus on finding solutions when problems arise. Notice your son's successes and encourage them, no matter how small.
