Adolescents should be guided towards prayer, even if it is not for the purpose of worshipping Allah. It is at the very least a necessary and obligatory matter to maintain their physical, mental and psychological safety. Faith is a strong pillar that protects a person when life's storms intensify. It is the solid support when internal tremors flare up. Faith in Allah and religion is like a stick that preserves a person's balance from the danger of falling and slipping.
Belief in Allah resolves many contradictions and intellectual conflicts. It is a means to end the conflict that rages within the soul and a reason for achieving stability.
The Qur'anic view sees that remembering Allah is a reason for the tranquility of hearts. Allah Almighty says:
{Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest}.
Religious education during adolescence, guiding the person towards prayer and worship, and creating a relationship of companionship between him and Allah, not only satisfies his religious feelings, but also curbs his instinctive tendencies and psychological desires, and also controls his behavior, and most importantly of all, it puts an end to his inner suffering, and all the causes of emotional pressure, anxiety, fear, confusion, and intense feelings of guilt, which are characteristics of this stage (adolescence).
