The believing individual must be strong to benefit himself and his community, and to harness all this energy in the service of goodness and to ward off evil.
The Holy Quran encourages us to be strong, as Allah the Almighty says: {And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy.}
The pure Sunnah also encouraged people to be adorned with it, as it was narrated from Imam al-Sadiq (PBUH), from his fathers (peace be upon them), who said: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) said: (Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, hates the weak believer who has no strength).
(Criteria of the individual's strength)
First: Knowledge:
It is the individual's understanding and awareness of everything that goes on around him in general, scientifically, practically, socially and politically.
This awareness of all of this enables the individual to enjoy the cognitive power that would make him an effective human being and a difficult number in life's equations and interactions.
Second: Education:
Education contributes to the individual's strength in several ways, the most important of which are:
- Eliminating poverty and improving the standard of living by obtaining better jobs.
- Helping the individual acquire diverse knowledge and information.
- Personality formation
- It achieves the individual's threefold (confidence, sense of the value of life, and happiness)
- Developing the individual's cultural and social values.
- Helping in making the right decisions.
- The ability to help uneducated people.
It is one of the things that the Holy Quran urged, Allah Almighty said: {And say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."} .
Third: Role Model:
Being influenced by a certain personality, following it, imitating it, and taking it as an example is a rational necessity that aims to motivate the motive to emulate the other.
Allah the Almighty said {Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow}.
Fourth: Awareness:
The individual's awareness of the reality and facts that occur around him, enables him to deal with circumstances and events with strength.
Allah the Almighty said: {It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from among themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom.}
Fifth: Capabilities and Skills:
Characteristics that determine an individual's ability to achieve the desired goals. There is no doubt that capabilities and skills are one of the greatest criteria that form an individual's strength in his practical life.
Sixth: Discipline:
One of the reasons for strength is the ability to control and dominate. The extent of an individual’s control over the discipline of his behavior and actions reflects the extent of his strength.
It is one of the things praised in the Quran. Allah the Almighty said: {As if they were a solid structure}
Seventh: Giving:
Everyone has the ability to take, but very few have the ability to give. Therefore, the standard of giving is an authentic standard in distinguishing the strength of the individual, and it may fall within the concept of cooperation mentioned in the Holy Quran. Allah the Almighty said: {And cooperate in righteousness and piety}
So the one who is a giving person to those around him will help them to be Their status is better.
Eighth: Action:
The ultimate goal of life is action, not knowledge or theory. Knowledge without action is worth nothing. We learn in order to act.
Allah the Almighty said: {And say, "Do [as you will], for Allah will see your work, and [so will] His Messenger and the believers."}.
The Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him) said: (The caller without action is like the archer without a bowstring).
