Trust is not an easy thing that comes overnight, and a shaken person needs a great effort to restore his trust, so parents must work to plant trust in their children from a young age so that they have a strong and self-confident personality. There are several ways to build confidence in your children, including:
- Spend some time with your children individually, such as eating lunch with one of them outside the house, or walking with another. The important thing is to make them feel that you appreciate each one of them without.
- Build their inner self-confidence by encouraging them and appreciating their efforts, not just appreciating the results as most of us do.
- Let your children choose what to wear themselves; this shows them that you respect their decisions.
- When your child asks to talk to you, do not talk to him while you are busy doing something else, like a mother when she talks to her child while she is cooking or watching TV, but give him all your focus and look into his eyes while he talks to you.
- When your child draws small pictures, put them in a special place in the house and make them feel that you are proud of them.
- Write them a word of love, encouragement or a joke on a small piece of paper and put it next to their bed if you are going out while they are sleeping, or in their school bag so that they feel that you are thinking of them even when you are not with them.
- Hug your children, kiss them and tell them that you love them every day, because no matter how much you do, they will always need it regardless of their age, whether they are young or adults or even married and have grandchildren.
