If we want to create a good family, and thus a good society away from all forms of social pollution and moral decline, we must create men and women who raise piety and chastity as their slogan, and the husband must take into account the following aspects:
- He should only be concerned with earning what is permissible to meet his family’s expenses, and should not go near what is forbidden, and should not neglect what he possesses of the treasure of contentment and chastity.
- When he finishes work and returns home, he throws all his worries and troubles at the door and enters the house full of energy and vitality.
- He greets his wife with a smile and appreciation for the efforts she has made throughout the day.
- He teaches his family from time to time the principles of what is permissible and what is forbidden, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and the pros and cons of deeds.
- He does not spend his time and his life outside the home, and he does not make his smile and liveliness limited to his friends.
The wife must also pay attention to several matters, including:
- She must maintain her chastity and purity, take the initiative to complete household chores with all passion and longing, and prepare the ground for removing the burdens that burden her husband while he is working outside the home.
- She obeys her husband, relying on divine rules and principles, fulfills his legitimate desires, and avoids nervousness, anger, and arrogance.
- She deals with her husband’s relatives and family with compassion, kindness, and Islamic morals.
- She calls on her husband not to bring anything into his house except what is permissible, confirming their conviction in what Allah gives them of what is permissible, even if it is little.
- She avoids blind imitation and does not let her husband groan under the weight of distress and embarrassment in order to keep his or her relatives on the path of life.
