The responsibility of families in raising the child
11:4:17 2024-01-16 610

The child cannot avoid the family environment. He is forced to live within this environment, and he must abide by the laws and be patient with them.

Under these circumstances, the child’s right becomes prominent, and parents must fulfill it, at least within that environment.

Education is the most important right of a child within the environment in which he lives. The direct responsibility falls on the father, and he must raise him so that he is a useful and effective person in society. Children differ in their readiness to accept education, and they must be helped so that they can rely on themselves and build themselves and their communities.

The most precious thing that parents have is a child, and it is natural that they tend to care for him throughout his life. Reason and morals also require that parents raise their child.

It is not permissible for parents to be satisfied with favoring their child in terms of money and food only, nor to grant him land or a house from the first moment of his birth to express their pride in him and think about his future only financially. These matters are not important in relation to the subject of education.

Good manners are the best inheritance, and it is the best thing that parents pass on to their children. Therefore, children should not be left alone, and the educational process is very important, and the parents bear full responsibility for this.

The father and mother must provide everything the child needs for his growth and take care of this new bud from the first day of his birth.

The father and mother are both responsible for raising their child and fulfilling his rights, but the greatest and most direct responsibility falls on the father in this area, as he is primarily responsible for raising his children Islamically, and at the same time responsible for the consequences of this education, whether positive or negative.

The father should take care of his children so that they are committed believers and useful in that society. He should never evade that responsibility, even in the child’s embryonic stage, and he must create the appropriate atmosphere from that stage.

The father is the head of his family and he is the one who orders and forbids it, monitors the morals of the family members, and guides and guides it. According to this rule, he is responsible for the growth, building, happiness, and well-being of children and guiding them towards the path of goodness.

The father's responsibility in the home is not limited to the economic aspect and providing life needs only, but rather he is responsible for refining the morals of his family members, guiding them and building that solid moral structure that enables them to resist difficulties and adversity, and to pave the way for them and provide them with the culture he inherited, and to create in them good habits and qualities. He cares about their physical and psychological development, works hard to discipline them, and prevents their deviation. He should also provide his children with the principles of chastity and purity and be a role model for them in word and deed.

The mother has an important role in this field as well, but the father’s responsibility is much broader than her responsibility. In order for the efforts to be crowned with success, the father and mother must cooperate, think together, and exert their efforts to make the educational process a success.
