Four wrong practices in expressing joy. Have you seen, on occasions, some celebrants express their joy through annoying practices?
We have seen and heard about many cases that may have caused us to leave the event venue due to these incorrect practices. Our feeling of joy is a positive thing, and it has a major impact and role in our social relationships. The atmosphere of fun and happiness deepens and strengthens relationships and social bonds to a great extent. This is clear when we attend an occasion such as a wedding or marriage contract, or during public or personal holidays and happy occasions, for the purpose of commemorating the occasion and supporting. But the important thing in The issue is our expression of that joy and happiness. Some people interpret their joys in a very negative and illogical way. There are four wrong practices that are practiced on special occasions and weddings.
First: Firing gunshots: This negative phenomenon caused the atmosphere of the occasion to change from joy to sadness and tragedy, even if we ask:
What is the relationship between the use of weapons, which are a dangerous and deadly instrument, with the atmosphere of the happy occasion? In which roses should be scattered, not bullets!!!
Second: Blocking public or side streets for the purpose of practicing dancing or inappropriate movements.
Third: Raising one’s voice with music and singing, both of which are forbidden practices in Islamic law.
Fourth: Extravagance in food to the point of extravagance and extravagance, as an expression of joy at the occasion. We should avoid these practices and urge those around us to avoid them, and we should advise those involved in them and guide them to correct and fruitful alternatives that do not cause harm and are not forbidden by Islamic law. When we are at a joyful occasion or gathering and it happens that some of these practices occur in front of us, we should alert the owner of the event and those in charge of its management to prevent them. And our role should be effective and influential by gathering the voices of those invited to the event to express their rejection of that wrong practice, so that the wrongdoer will be deterred, the people of the event will be appreciated, and society will be elevated by purifying it from negative practices and correct practices will flourish in it.
