Being unfaithful is trying to escape with whatever you can get.
Most forms of hypocrisy result from trying to please others, especially when you are afraid that you will not be accepted by others if you tell the truth, or express your true feelings.
Don't pretend to be interested in a person at all. This would prepare the other party to expect things that you do not intend to implement for him. This does not mean that you give up your character, but it does mean that you should be honest and not deceive.
People hate the person who deceives and misleads them more than the person who openly hurts thier feelings.
When people realize that you are harming them, then they can protect themselves and reduce the damage you do to them.
When you deceive them, you instill a false sense of security in them, so they lower their defenses. The damage you do to them is magnified because then it is tainted by your betrayal.
Say what you really mean. You may risk becoming ostracized by others if you do so, but it is better than hating yourself for taking advantage of others.
When you are insincere, you lose sensitivity towards others and do not know when to hurt or take advantage of them. What's worse is that you try to justify your actions by claiming that you're only doing what others would do if they were you.
When you try to convince yourself that all people are just as shallow as you are, the beauty of the world fades away and nothing else seems valuable or meaningful.
When others depend on your strength, they also depend on your loyalty.
