Someone asked me: Are we in the age of miracles?
I said: No.
Then immediately said, "Yes."
He said in astonishment: How can the answer be both yes and no at the same time?
I said: If what is meant by a miracle is that a person sleeps on a silk pillow and waits for the spirits or angels to accomplish the deeds that fall on him, then surely we do not live in an age of miracles and this has not happened and will never happen.
Allah Almighty “supports” the working believers, but He does not do their work for them, and the angels also “repay” the deeds of the righteous, but they do not “perform” their roles.
But if what is meant by a miracle is waiting for major results from a simple human act, then we are indeed in the age of miracles, when human creativity has reached great stages of development and progress.
The human effort here achieves results in the same proportion as the seed achieves after watering it to become a tree with abundant fruit. From little, much is achieved, and it is in Allah's nature that He gives more for less.
Allah Almighty does not interfere in human actions except to help them and direct their steps, and we must always trust that there is an unseen hand that may reach out to us at critical moments to save us from doom, and help us to overcome difficulties. We have to be sure that Allah does not neglect His servants, because He Our Lord is the one who created us, and his power still dominates the universe to organize life and divide livelihoods.
How many critical moments did a person go through, and the hand of the unseen extended to him to help him and prevent him from deteriorating?
How many steps did he almost take, but an unseen phone prevented him from doing so, so he discovered later that in that step was his death?
How many deals did a person abstain from concluding, then discover that they were lost?
Allah is aware of all our actions, and He often extends His hand to rescue us from the tribulations that face us.
Look at the viruses, microbes and all the deadly diseases that invade the human body through air, water or food, but remain powerless in front of the immune system inside it.
So who prevents these harmful factors from killing people?
Is there not an unseen hand standing behind this integrated system, to prevent predestination at a time other than its time, and release it at its proper time?
Yes... This age is the age of miracles, and every age is the age of miracles, provided that we work and rely on Allah.
